Overview
Accenture’s documented technology scope extends from investment and architecture planning through implementation and ongoing operations. Buyers can distinguish portfolio assessments and roadmaps from application modernization execution, infrastructure management and application support. Its organization-design advisory is a separate management-consulting offering. Proprietary tooling such as GenWizard also needs separate evaluation: a platform description does not establish standalone licensing terms or a separately purchasable implementation scope. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]
Services and delivery
Technology strategy advisory
Advisory. Advises on aligning technology investment with business priorities through product and platform strategy and technology and data architecture foundations. This scope establishes planning deliverables, not implementation. [1]
Application portfolio assessment and modernization planning
Advisory. Assesses application inventories and develops renewal business cases, portfolio rationalization, architecture and modernization roadmaps to help buyers decide what to retain, replace or modernize. [2]
Application and mainframe modernization
Implementation. Executes progressive or scaled application modernization, including mainframe modernization, containerization and automated code conversion. The offering also includes Agile and Dev(Sec)Ops coaching. [2]
Hybrid infrastructure managed services
Managed services. Operates infrastructure across on-premises, cloud and edge environments. Documented scope includes network optimization, service and asset management, and infrastructure modernization. [3]
Application managed services
Managed services. Provides application operations incorporating automation, real-time operational insights and progressive modernization. The offering discusses experience-level and service-level agreements, but the evidence does not establish standard support hours or availability guarantees. [4]
Cloud data platform implementation
Implementation. Builds modern data platforms through cloud data migration and reusable data products, addressing fragmented data environments and providing foundations for analytics or AI. Data engineering alone is not classified here as AI delivery. [7]
AI and machine-learning implementation
Implementation. Offers implementation to build and scale AI and machine learning for specific business problems. Separate retail cases document customer-facing generative-AI assistants and customer-care assistance tools. [7]
Managed extended detection and response
Managed services. Provides ongoing detection, response and remediation for IT, operational technology and Internet of Things threats. The scope includes threat intelligence, expert analysts, threat hunting and a SOAR integration layer. [8]
GenWizard platform
Software product. Proprietary generative-AI tooling with modules for knowledge management, code-derived documentation, software engineering and migration or modernization. The evidence describes a platform supporting delivery, not confirmed standalone licensing or customer ownership terms. [6]
Operating-model and organization design
Non-technical service. Management advisory addressing organizational structures, operating models, talent access and shared services. References to technology and AI do not establish software or AI implementation within this scope. [5]
Company details
Technology and platforms
Documented project technologies include AWS landing zones and Oracle database migration at MSRB; Kubernetes managed by Google Cloud Anthos and an Azul JVM at Arek Oy; and Azure OpenAI Service at Bricorama. These establish project experience, not universal platform recommendations or current specialization across every associated product. [9] [10] [11]
Track record
MSRB: A case study carrying a 2021 copyright describes feasibility assessment, a cloud business case, AWS architecture, migration and managed operations. Accenture reports migrating approximately 250 virtual machines, 80 databases and 20 applications from three data centers in nine months, on time and on budget. Operational work included Level 1 and 2 support, patching, backups, monitoring and capacity management. The case does not confirm that the contract remains active. [9]
Arek Oy: Accenture describes modernizing a pension-calculation engine for an Anthos environment, including technical architecture and a DevOps pipeline. It reports completing migration in under a year. The stated reduction exceeding 80% in cost per transaction was projected, not presented as a measured saving. [10]
Bricorama: Accenture describes building pAInt, an Azure OpenAI-based painting adviser integrated with existing e-commerce systems. Work covered proprietary content, conversational experience and safeguards restricting responses to relevant home-improvement topics. This is concrete AI application and integration evidence rather than AI strategy alone. [11]
Best Buy: The case describes collaboration with Accenture and Google on a virtual assistant for troubleshooting, delivery changes and subscription management, plus recommendations and knowledge access for customer-care agents. It does not clearly allocate every component among the participants or provide quantified operational results. [12]
Scope and limitations
This profile covers only the supplied evidence, not Accenture’s complete catalog. Uninvestigated capabilities remain unverified rather than absent.
Case-study outcomes are Accenture’s reports, not independent audits. Historical delivery does not establish current staffing or identical future results.
The notes do not settle pricing, minimum engagement size, delivery locations, subcontracting, intellectual-property rights or contractual service levels.
GenWizard’s standalone availability, licensing, ownership rights and post-engagement access require commercial verification.
Questions to ask
Which deliverables are advisory, implementation and ongoing operations, and who accepts each?
How will delivery ownership be divided among Accenture, platform vendors and our team?
Can the proposed team provide references matching our platform, regulatory setting and project scale?
What support hours, remediation authority, exclusions, service levels and exit assistance will be contractual?
For AI and proprietary tooling, who controls data, models, generated code, licenses and post-engagement access?
